Hopkins purchased a home that became the subject of complaints while still a member of the Houston Texans.
“We were all pretty happy one day when DeAndre was getting ready to move into the house,” next-door neighbor Simon Gentry told ABC13 in Houston.
That strategy, however, changed when the coronavirus (COVID-19) lockdowns began. The pad was rented out for parties instead of the star wideout living there. Neighbors complained about dozens of automobiles parked on private roadways, trash left out, and loud music.
“I have a family, right, I have a child, and you can’t sleep at night because these parties are so noisy,” said another neighbor, CJ, who shares Hopkins’ driveway.
Hopkins did not react to the news outlet’s request for comment, but in early 2021, he purchased another home, which he did move into.

Hopkins paid $5.1 million for a house in Phoenix’s prestigious Paradise Valley. The home had been on and off the market several times since 2016, with an asking price of around $8 million.
The unique estate features 12,000 square feet of living space, six bedrooms, and seven bathrooms, and is situated on a 1.72-acre corner site. The property features clean and modern details throughout, including exposed concrete walls and flooring. Glenn Murcutt, Australia’s most recognized architect and Pritzker Prize laureate, was the inspiration for the minimalist design.
A fireplace, a bar, a zero-edge lap pool, and floor-to-ceiling windows that open and retract to create an indoor-outdoor flow are among its attractions. It also provides panoramic views of Camelback Mountain and Piestewa Peak.

The league announced Hopkins’ suspension for the team’s first six games in May 2022. While sidelined, the wide receiver posted about his comeback on social media, even counting down the days until he “unbenched” himself in fantasy football.
Prior to his first game of the season on Thursday Night Football on Oct. 20, he issued his “Don’t Call It A Comeback.” “Comeback Tour” video to make fans excited about his return.
