Let’s find out ‘Did Miranda Lambert Raise A Fund For Furry Victims’ Miranda Lambert is a well-known country singer as well as an activist and entrepreneur. The “Bluebird” singer has been in the spotlight for nearly two decades, and she has always been vocal about her love of animals. She not only has several pets, but she also actively strives to generate funds for animal-related charities.
Lambert decided to take action in October 2022, following the horrific hurricane that hit Florida, by posting on Twitter about how her group was stepping up to help displaced dogs. While many praised Lambert’s acts, it’s probable that some fans are looking the other way, given some of her problematic animal-related behaviors.
Miranda Lambert Took Action When Hurricane Ian Devastated Florida
In late September, a tropical storm named Hurricane Ian made landfall in Florida. According to The Guardian, the Category 4 hurricane was the second-deadliest storm to hit the mainland US in the twenty-first century after Hurricane Katrina, killing at least 137 people across numerous states, including North Carolina, Florida, and Virginia. Around 98 of those deaths occurred in Florida, which suffered the most severe storm damage.
Residents of Florida are still working hard to clean up the storm damage and return to some kind of normalcy, weeks after the storm initially formed. Following Hurricane Ian, several celebrities are stepping forward to help in any way they can. Miranda Lambert is one such celebrity, and she recently took to Twitter to share how her nonprofit, MuttNation, is assisting storm-displaced pets.

Lambert declared on Twitter on October 5 that she was sending “love and light” to all those affected by Hurricane Ian. She also stated that she and her MuttNation team would be donating to various groups that are actively assisting pets displaced by the catastrophe. Greater Good and the Naples Humane Society were among the groups she listed in her video. Lambert’s fundraising will use all of the profits to purchase materials for the treatment and transportation of the animals afflicted.
Lambert is not the only person to jump into action to rescue animals in distress. In honor of Valentine’s Day in early 2022, the singer contributed a whopping $20,000 to shelters. She divided the money to 20 small animal shelters, telling Fox 17 Nashville that “shelter pets, especially the ones that are the most difficult to adopt, and the individuals who care for them, have always had my heart.” She also works tirelessly with her MuttNation charity, which she created in 2009, to help animals, particularly cats, dogs, and horses, whenever feasible.
Miranda Lambert Has Come Under Fire For Some Of Her Actions Involving Animals
While Lambert has been open about her love of animals, she has also been chastised for her penchant for hunting. Even though the singer has stated that she eats everything she shoots and frequently contributes deer meat to organizations such as the NRA’s Hunters for the Hungry, others have expressed concerns about her passion for pets and her hunting pastime.
Furthermore, Lambert attended a bull-riding competition over the summer, which prompted some opponents to accuse her of hypocrisy, as animal-rights organizations such as PETA have long denounced bull-riding exhibitions as being injurious to animals. In the end, while some may object to Lambert’s behavior, it is evident that she does a lot to help shelter animals.
