MCDONALD’S customers are furious after Chicken Selects are STILL missing from the menu after nearly two weeks.

Big Flavour Chicken Wraps, which contain Selects, are also unavailable to buy too.

The Sun revealed earlier this month that there was a nationwide shortage of the snacks.

McDonald’s said at the time that the shortage was “temporary”, but nearly two weeks later, Selects fans are still complaining on social media that they can’t get their hands on the chicken treat.

“I’m sick to death of this McDonald’s chicken select shortage,” one unhappy customer said on Twitter.

Another said: “Why is there a nationwide chicken select shortage,” adding: “I just want my chicken select.”

One raging customer said: “I didn’t realise how much the chicken select shortage would impact my life.”

When The Sun checked at local restaurants in London, we couldn’t find Chicken Selects available to buy anywhere.

Big Flavour Wraps – including The Sweet Chilli Chicken One (crispy) and The BBQ & Bacon Chicken One (crispy) – were also off the menu, as they contain Selects too.

The items were listed as “temporarily unavailable” across numerous branches we checked.

When the shortage first hit, a McDonald’s spokesperson told The Sun: “”We are working incredibly hard to get this popular menu item back on sale in our restaurants.

“We know some customers will be disappointed to hear this news, and we would like to apologise for the short term inconvenience.”

We’ve asked McDonald’s what was causing the shortage, but the chain declined to comment.

The Chicken Deluxe Burger – which contains Selects – is not available to buy anymore, but that’s because it’s a limited edition item and was removed from the menu last week.

Four other popular snacks were dropped from the menu too, including the Bacon Clubhouse Double, Galaxy Chocolate McFlurry, Galaxy Caramel McFlurry and Cheese and Herb melts.

They were all replaced by four new snacks, including the new BBQ Bacon Stack burger, Aero McFlurry in two flavours which are chocolate and mint, and Mozzarella Dippers.

McDonald’s isn’t the only big chain which has suffered with shortages.

KFC had to close over 600 branches in 2018 after a chicken shortage was caused by its new delivery company struggling to supply stock to all its shops.

Fans were whipped up into a frenzy on Twitter over the crisis as they were left unable to buy their favourite meal.
