ARE you now all choc-full of Easter eggs?

We splashed out an estimated £810million on them and other Easter treats this weekend.

But if you have a stack of leftover eggs, here are some spirited ways to use them to make tasty tipples. Pull up a seat at your very own choc-tail bar . . .

BUN FOR THE ROAD: Hopefully you’ve got a bottle of the Manchester Drinks Company’s Hot Cross Bun liqueur from Home Bargains for £8. Pour yourself a shot, then add one part sherry and two parts amaretto and serve over ice with some chocolate shavings.

SHAKE AWAY: If you haven’t gobbled up your Easter egg yet, use it as a cup — just chop off the top and fill with your favourite tipple and ice. This also works well for kids’ milkshakes, or even as an Easter-themed ice-cream bowl. You can also melt the eggs and decorate cakes and brownies. For an adult treat, simply pour in the Baileys and add a straw.

EGG-SPRESSO MARTINI: Mix one part vodka, one part Baileys and one part chocolate or coffee liqueur in a cocktail shaker. If you don’t have liqueur, you can up the vodka or Baileys, to taste. Shake well. Pour into your chosen glass — ideally a martini glass — and garnish with crushed Mini Eggs to make it really look the part.

CREME DE LA CREME: Who doesn’t love a Creme Egg? Well, you might have in your cupboard the ingredients for a cocktail themed on this treat. Shake together two tablespoons of condensed milk, a vodka shot (add vanilla essence if you want) and a drop or two of yellow food-colouring then pour over ice.

Then shake together 250ml of milk, half a cup of ice and another shot of vodka, plus two tablespoons of condensed milk, then strain over the top for a frothy finish. Garnish each drink with half a Creme Egg, chocolate syrup and a few shavings of chocolate.
