UBER is giving free rides to passengers travelling to mass vaccination hubs to get their Covid jabs, as it backs The Sun’s Jabs Army campaign.
Uber will cover up to £15 of your trip if it starts or ends at one of the seven vaccination centres giving out mass Covid jabs.

To claim, download the Uber app onto your phone, tap on the menu in the top left corner of the app and select Wallet.
Select “Add Promo Code” at the bottom and add the promo code for the vaccination centre you are travelling to or from.
Enter your pick-up and drop-off location and confirm the trip.
You’ll have to book your trip before February 28 to get the offer and it will only be available to the first 4,000 rides booked per vaccination centre.

If the ride goes over £15, you’ll have to pay the difference.
You also won’t be able to use any other offers or promotions alongside the deal, and the discount won’t apply to cancellation fees or tips.
Uber is also working with Age UK to identify where free round trips can dished out to help the most vulnerable travel to get their Covid jab administered.
You will also have to follow Uber’s Covid rules while taking your trip, which you can check out on it’s website.
Health Secretary Matt Hancock hailed the initiative and said it was “great” that Uber is “doing their bit” by offering the free rides.
Uber has also backed The Sun’s Jabs Army campaign to get 50,000 volunteers on board to help run pop-up medical centres in the race to beat the pandemic once and for all.
In an email to millions of customers it will flag how they can sign up to Jabs Army and become a vaccination volunteer.
The Sun rolled out the Jabs Army campaign on New Year’s day after GPs issued a dire warning about a lack of volunteers needed to help rapidly roll out the Covid vaccine.
So far, 48,000 of you have signed up to be part of Jabs Army – but we need 2,000 more to hit our target and help get 15 million jabs into arms by March.
Uber regional general manager, Jamie Heywood said: “Everyone has a part to play in helping fight the pandemic and get the country back to normal.
“We are proud to back The Sun’s Jab Army campaign and help raise awareness and recruit more NHS Volunteer Responders for the vaccination programme.”
As well as Uber, Britain’s biggest businesses including BT, Morrisons and Sky TV have backed the campaign.
A raft of celebs and famous faces have also thrown their support behind Jabs Army, with Katie Price and Carl Woods the latest to sign up as volunteers.
How to sign up for The Sun’s Jabs Army
VOLUNTEERS for the Jabs Army are being asked to first register online at nhsvolunteerresponders.org.uk
You will then receive an email with log-in details to sign up online.
Finally, you will be asked to download the GoodSAM app on a smartphone which will match you to a role in your area.
Services will be opening in the coming days and weeks, with different areas up and running at different times, so you might not be required on site for some weeks. Not everyone who signs up will need to be called upon.
