In the 10-minute clip, the tech-savvy couple revealed nine hidden Netflix settings that could save you a few quid.

One of their genius tips was all about adjusting your data usage and playback settings.

You can watch Netflix from your account using both wifi and data, but John and Nicole’s advice will help optimise your streaming.

The first step is to click on your profile before heading to the tab named Account.

A drop-down menu will appear where you will then be able to adjust the settings by profile.

The couple explains how you then need to click on the profile you want to make adjustments to which will open the settings option.

Here, you can also change the viewing language, restriction options, activity ratings, and subtitle features.

But the next step is to click Playback Settings where you will be able to adjust your data usage settings.

The couple keeps the “Autoplay previews while browsing on all devices” option and the “Autoplay next episode in a series on all devices” option ticked before moving to the data usage per screen section.

Here, the settings are automatically set to Auto – “Default video and audio quality, and data usage”.

John and Nicole switch the setting to Low, which “minimises data usage which is helpful if you’re on a data cap plan or you don’t stream on wifi”.

The Low option provides basic video and audio quality, using only up to 0.3GB of data per hour – potentially saving you hundreds of pounds a year on your data bill.

In the video, the couple also suggests using secret Netflix codes which can be found online.

Turning on HD and UHD if its included in your subscription can also help you get the most out of your Netflix experience.

John and Nicole also explained that users can download their settings which can help you plan what to watch ahead of time if you know you aren’t going to have any internet connection.

You can also change the way captions and subtitles appear on your screen by clicking on your profile and heading to the subtitle section before pressing Change.

You will be able to adjust the font style, size, and colour to your preference.

The video racked up over 2.6k views and people were quick to leave their thoughts in the comment section.

One wrote: “Thank you for the FANTASTIC tips!!!”

Another said: “These are good tips I’ll try these out”.

One more added: “This is good to know info, but Netflix has pretty much lost all of the content that I watch”.

It comes after people only just discovered a Netflix hack that means they’ll never miss a TV show release again.

All users need to do is look for the Coming Soon row on their TV homepage or within the “New & Hot” section on the mobile app.

Netflix users were also left stunned after realising there’s a secret hack to unlocking hidden shows and movies.
