FURIOUS Brits have blasted Tesco after being charged DOUBLE for shopping without a Clubcard.
The supermarket giant has come under fire for “punishing” shoppers who haven’t signed up for its loyalty card scheme.

Although customers are aware equipping themselves with a Clubcard is the best way to bag a bargain at Tesco, it seems the company have piled on the pounds to entice people to join.
In one store, a large beef roasting joint weighing 1.3kg was ticketed as £7.80 for those who are part of their points scheme.
But for those who aren’t, the same piece of meat would set you back £15.60 – DOUBLE the price for Clubcard users.
Another bizarre image shared on social media shows a tin of Nescafe Azera coffee being flogged £2.90 – but if you don’t join Tesco’s club, it would cost you £6.
And the grocery store was earlier selling off a one litre bottle of Baileys for £9.50, that cost £20 without a Clubcard.
The puzzling price difference has seen shoppers take to social media to slam the supermarket, with one boiling Brit brand them “dreadful”.
One user wrote: “This is dreadful… if you can sell it at £16 then sell it at £16. The Clubcards are literally free of charge so what is the point?
“You don’t gain anything from Clubcards. £40 is absolutely ridiculous. Seeing these crazy prices more and more in Tesco, it really is shocking!”

Another added: “Tesco are bullying people into getting a Clubcard because this discount is DIRTY.”
And a third chimed in: “Crate of Bud Light £16 or £9 with a Clubcard. Sneaky sneaky.”
A Tesco spokesperson said: “Through Clubcard Prices, we’re giving more than 20 million customers access to thousands of exclusive deals on everything from everyday staples like fruit and veg to treats like prosecco and ice-cream.
“It’s easy and free to sign up, and customers can register on the Tesco Grocery & Clubcard app, website or in-store to start saving straight away.”
The Sun has contacted Tesco for comment.
Clubcards offer points that can be redeemed through money off vouchers in store, or other places like restaurants and holiday parks.
Tesco shoppers who have one can also save up to 50 per cent off products in store due to cheaper prices.
The supermarket controversially raised the price of their meal deals to £3.50 – unless you have a Clubcard.
Clubcard prices were first introduced in 2019, but an investigation by The Sun last year found that the prices offered were not always the cheapest deal available.
