There are plenty of things to consider when buying a home, from how much of a deposit you need to save, to how many bedrooms you want and which way the garden faces.

Each week we speak to first-time buyers in our My First Home series about how they’ve managed to get on the ladder.

One newbie told The Sun how a mistake with his ISA nearly cost him £2,000 – as well as his first home.

And rising house prices aren’t make it any easier. According to the Office for National Statistics, the average UK house price is now an eye-watering £277,000.

But that doesn’t mean you can’t buy a home for less.

We’ve scoured the country with the help of Zoopla and found six houses that are selling for much less – in fact, they’re all priced at £150,000.
