A SHOPPER has spotted a major bargain at B&M after it slashed the price by nearly 70%.

Taking to Facebook, the eagle-eyed customer posted a photo of a Lay-Z-Spa Hawaii hot tub for only £100.

B&M is selling a hot tub for only £100Credit: Latest Deals, Extreme Couponing & Bargains Group

She posted on the Latest Deals, Extreme Couponing and Bargains Group saying: “Lay z Spa Hawaii £100 in store at b and m”.

As the pool is £300 full price, that means a whopping saving of £200. However, the shopper didn’t say what store they found the product at.

The Sun has approached B&M to find out if the hot tub is available nationwide and will update this story when we know more.

It does not appear to be available online for the time being.

Commenting on the original post from the shopper, one Facebook user said: “Bargain price. Buy it and store it away for a year or so.”

But not all agreed with them and thought the hot tub was a bargain.

One said: “Wouldn’t buy costs way too much and really hard to maintain.”

Another said: “No one can afford to run them now! Been seeing them reduced for months!”

Lay-Z-Spa’s website estimates the cost of running one of its hot tubs over a weekend will cost £14.43 and £23.69 for a week.

These prices are based on the current price cap of 28p per kilowatt though.

Come October those prices will go up, even with the new Energy Price Guarantee announced yesterday.

We previously explained how much it costs to run a hot tub.

How does it compare to other stores?

We checked out how the B&M Lay-Z-Spa Hawaii hot tub price compared to others in the market.

Charlies is selling one for £329, while Outdoor camping has one on sale for £324.99.

Drinkstuff is also selling one for £324.99. Amazon has one for £350.99 as well.

So if you did want to get hold of one, B&M is the place to go as it’s selling it for the cheapest.

Of course, you should factor in delivery costs as well as that will add to the bill.

And you should always compare prices to find the best deal.

You can do that by using price comparison sites such as Pricerunner or Kelkoo.

Shops will often put big discounts on summer items to clear stock at the end of the season so it’s worth keeping an eye out for offers.

But this is up to individual stores so the discount will vary.

But again, the product doesn’t appear to be on sale online so you might have to head to your nearest store to find out if they’re stocking it.

If you don’t know where your nearest store is, you can use the retailers’ locator tool.

It’s not the first time B&M has slashed the price of one of its products.

In May, the chain was selling an egg chair for £275.

You might not know about B&M’s free barcode scanner either. It could save you hundreds.
