SHOPPERS are flocking to Wilko to buy a 7ft-tall Christmas tree slashed by almost half.
The popular Christmas bargain is now 40% cheaper – fetching some high praise on social media.

A 7ft-tall Wilko Christmas tree is now £60, down from £100, and shoppers are raving about the quality of the product online.
One fan posted the item, putting: “Anyone got this tree ?? Thinking of getting it but hoping the quality is OK – £100 down to £60.”
But others were quick to settle the debate, musing: “I can honestly say I was very shocked and surprised with the tree – definitely worth the money.”
Another agreed: “I bought it about a month ago and so glad I did. I absolutely love mine.”
One said: “The best tree I’ve had so far.”
And another echoed: “Got two last year – best trees ever. Well recommended.”
You can bag the tree online or head to your nearest Wilko, but bear in mind added delivery costs if you’re ordering home.

To compare to other Christmas trees on its website, Wilko also sells a 6ft Green Pre-Lit Fir Artificial Christmas Tree for £45, down from £75.
The website notes it only costs 1p an hour to run, and you won’t need to worry about adding string lights onto it.
There’s also a 5ft Slim Multicoloured Rainbow Christmas Tree priced at £25, down from £45. It’s got different coloured branches if you fancy something more quirky.
In the meantime, make sure you hunt around for similar discounts and offers elsewhere to keep your options open.
You can compare prices on websites like Google shopping and Trolley.co.uk – which compares the prices of 130,000 products across 14 major supermarkets.
The Latest Deals app also lets you search items and lets you compare prices at several supermarkets to see where it’s cheaper.
For example, Amazon is selling the same 7ft Wilko fir tree for £45 – so £15 cheaper. But you’ll need to check how much delivery costs first to make sure it’s a worthwhile deal.
Elsewhere, there’s a £24 6ft tree on the B&Q website. It used to be £32, so you’re saving £8, but do check on delivery charges.
Asda also has a £45 6ft Christmas tree in stock on its website – complete with artificial snow on its branches.
For any of these, if you’d prefer to visit in store, make sure you call up first to avoid disappointment – sometimes stock is subject to availability.
