SHOPPERS are scrambling to grab an air fryer that is “the best thing ever”.
Costco is selling a dual basket air fryer for £79.99.

It’s currently selling for nearly £20 less than its originally price of £95.98.
It comes with two 3.8L baskets and is similar, but slightly smaller, to the famous Ninja air fryers we’ve seen.
One happy shopper posted the deal to Facebook’s Extreme Couponing & Bargains group.
They said: “Costco have a great deal on a duo air fryer.”
And shoppers took to the comments to share their thoughts.
One said: “I have this and it’s the best thing ever.
“Had it about two months and I haven’t used my oven since!”
While another said: “Had this good few weeks now and love it, only used my oven once.”

Prices and stock will vary from store to store.
Plus, do shop around for the best deal as we may have missed something.
You can use sites like Trolley.co.uk to compare prices, or search on Google shopping.
For example, we found a Salter EK2817H 2L air fryer for £39 from B&Q.
It also uses 1,000W and has a 30-minute timer.
Of course, it’s a lot smaller, so it’s worth working out how much food you’d need and compare whether you’d save more by investing in a bigger one.
It might be useful if you’d rather go get the item yourself – you can find your nearest store using the locator tool on its website.
Costco membership
Not everyone will be able to pick up the bargain fryer though as it’s only available to Costco members.
Costco is a wholesaler where you can bulk buy for cheap, but you can’t just walk in from the street if you’re not signed up.
Becoming a member will set you back £26.40 a year if you’re a trader or £33.60 for everyone else.
Alternatively, you can sign up with a £15 annual subscription but you’ll only be able to shop online and not in store.
How much does it cost to run an air fryer?
Don’t get carried about with how cheap the purchase price is – remember, it also costs to run one.
Keep in mind the cost is different for everyone, as what you pay for electricity will depend on your tariff and also how large and efficient your appliance is.
Similar to any appliance, a newer model is likely to be more efficient, and be cheaper to run than an older version.
The power of an air fryer is measured in watts, and this determines how much energy it uses – and the cost of using it.
But the more powerful the appliance, the quicker it will cook your food too.
A 1,000W air fryer costs just 17p to run for 30 minutes and 34p to run for an hour.
While a 1,500W air fryer will set you back 26p for half an hour, and 51p for an hour’s use.
A 2,000W gadget costs around 34p for 30 minutes, and 68p for 60 minutes.
