SAINSBURY’S shoppers will be keen to know the supermarket’s opening hours over the early May bank holiday.

Some stores may close on bank holidays, while others reduce opening hours instead.

Is Sainsbury’s open over the bank holidays?

Sainsbury’s shoppers can still grab groceries but opening hours may be different to usual.

Normal opening hours will remain in place at all stores on Saturday, May 4 and Sunday, May 5.

Stores tend to be open between 8am and 8pm.

Opening and closing times can differ from store to store though and can depend on size and location.

As a result, customers are urged to check their nearest branch’s opening hours using the locator tool on the Sainsbury’s website.

You just have to type in your town or postcode and it will show your closest store’s hours.
