THERE are days where the last thing you want to do is spend hours over a stove cooking up dinner.

And one of the quickest and easiest meals you can make is filled pasta, which nearly all supermarkets sell very cheaply in a packet.

You just bung the tortellini or ravioli in a pan, cook it for three to four minutes, add a sauce and you’re on to a winner.

Pasta-lover Haylet Minn tried out all the spinach and ricotta-flavoured packets available across the supermarkets and found one which was bella.

She marks them out of five.

Morrisons' Spinach and Ricotta tortellini was quite disappointing

BECAUSE this tortelloni was the only one that included butternut squash, as well as spinach and ricotta, I was really intrigued as to what these would taste like.

However, they were quite disappointing and I don’t think the flavours mixed well together, sadly.

Tesco Spinach & Ricotta Fresh Tortelloni

300g, £2 or £1.80 with Clubcard

THIS tortellini was tasty enough but the flavours from the cheese and spinach weren’t as strong as some of the others I tried, and I couldn’t eat them without some sauce and seasoning.

ABSOLUTELY delicious!

The outside was soft but still slightly al dente, so had a nice bite, and both the cheese and spinach flavours from the filling inside came through really strongly.

My winner for sure!

Sainsbury’s Spinach & Ricotta Tortelloni

I was really impressed with Sainsbury’s offering of tortelloni.

There was so much filling, and all the flavours came through from the spinach and ricotta.

I just had to season it slightly with some pepper, but it’s great value with a Nectar card too.

Waitrose Spinach & Ricotta Ravioli

THE most expensive of all the packs I tried, but you do get slightly more for your money.

While the packs usually say they’re for two people, it’s very easy to finish one off myself, but this was definitely enough for two.

The filling was also really tasty, and I loved the texture of the pasta.

ASDA Spinach & Ricotta Tortelloni

SADLY I could barely taste the flavours coming from the spinach and ricotta in this tortelloni.

They were extremely bland, and only tasted good when I added a lot of sauce and seasoning.

The pasta also seemed to fall apart easier than others.

Lidl has chosen girasoli pasta instead of tortelloni or ravioli for its deluxe range.

It’s a pasta I’d never tried before, but I loved it!

The filling was beautiful and the texture was perfect too.

It’s just a shame that you don’t get as much of it as some of the others.
