US tech giant Nvidia has said it will work with iPhone maker Foxconn to build ‘artificial intelligence factories’ as the new tech continues to explode in popularity.
Nvidia, whose value has more than tripled in a year to around £900billion, said it was the ‘beginning of a computing revolution’.
Co-founder and chief Jensen Huang said his chip firm would work with Foxconn to train autonomous vehicles, robotics platforms and large language models.

Nvidia’s success has come from computer games, with its powerful chips used to run the likes of Call Of Duty – but it has played a key role in the growing popularity of AI, providing chips to Microsoft.
And when OpenAI released ChatGPT last year it contained more than 20,000 graphics processors made by Nvidia.
Foxconn – best known for working with Apple to build iPhones in China – has been on a mission to grow its business beyond electronics.
The planned tie-up comes as the US tightens restrictions on exports of AI chips to China, to make it harder for Chinese firms to get cutting-edge technologies.
Analysts at Citigroup say restrictions will make it harder for Nvidia to sell to China.
Nvidia has previously said that as much as 25 per cent of its data centre chip revenues come from China.
