MCDONALDS fans have been left “heartbroken” and “devastated” after the fast food chain said it is removing two popular items from its menu for good.
Bagels and breakfast wraps will never again be on the fast food chain’s UK menu, it revealed today.

“Absolutely fuming,” said a fan of the fast food favourite from McDonald’s breakfast menu.
“Bagels were amazing and my trips to McD’s have certainly decreased due to this. This news makes it likely my trips will be even less. Great job.
Another said: “Literally heartbroken!!”
“I haven’t had a (sober) McDonald’s breakfast since you got rid of the bagels coz they were the best thing on the menu!
“Can’t stand the McMuffins, they’re naf and there is ALWAYS shell in the egg! Was soo hoping the bagels were coming back soon!”
Responding to the chain’s announcement, a third said “This is outrageous @McDonaldsUK !

Singer Olly Murs said he was “devastated” while Alex Davies-Jones, Labour MP for Pontypridd and Taff Ely said she was “heartbroken”.
“First you take away the caramel sundae and now the bagel,” she added.
Bagels and wraps have been missing from the McDonald’s menu since March 2020 when the pandemic first hit.
The chain offered a reduced menu when branches were allowed to reopen and most items have since returned.
McDonald’s today (24 January) finally put bagel and wrap lovers out their misery, revealing “that’s a wrap” on the brekkie snacks.
“I’ve thought about the bagel every week since March 2020,” one disappointed fan said.
And another branded it “the actual worst decision you’ve ever made”.
Maccies has not given a reasons for axing them from the menu line-up.
But it has teased that there could be new items added instead, saying: “As for the rumours that there will be a new breakfast bae on the scene later this year… no comment.
Still on the McDonald’s breakfast menu are the following items – though bagel and wrap fans are far from happy with the alternatives:
- Sausage and egg McMuffin
- Bacon and egg McMuffin
- Double sausage and egg McMuffin
- Double bacon and egg McMuffin
- Egg and cheese McMuffin
- Breakfast roll with ketchup
- Breakfast roll with brown sauce
- Pancakes and syrup
- Pancakes and sausage with syrup
- Bacon roll
- Hash brown
- Cheesy bacon flatbread
- Muffin with jam
Maccies fans are also upset over the Chicken Legend which has not yet returned to the menu – despite promises that it would return in January.
Meanwhile McDonald’s vegan McPlant burger is now available at all UK branches.
