Dennis McGrory, 75, likely to spend rest of life in jail for rape and murder of Jacqui Montgomery in London

A man who murdered a teenager nearly 50 years ago has been told by a judge he will probably spend the rest of his life in prison in the oldest double jeopardy case in England and Wales.

Dennis McGrory was 28 when he sexually assaulted, stabbed and strangled Jacqui Montgomery, 15, during a “horrific, violent and sustained ordeal” at her home in Islington, north London, in 1975.
