Gloucester force refers itself to police watchdog after one person killed and two hurt in stabbing in Walton Cardiff

The only suspect in a “horrific” stabbing attack near Tewkesbury that left one man dead and another in a critical condition had been contacted by Gloucester police before the incident.

The force said it also knew the victim of the attack, who died at the scene in Walton Cardiff before passersby, including two off-duty police officers, could intervene.
