Twitter locked Kanye West’s social-media account after the musician and designer posted a message that violated its policies, the company said Sunday. 

The social-media platform removed a purported anti-Semitic tweet from Mr. West’s account that was published overnight Saturday. A message stating “This Tweet violated the Twitter Rules” has now replaced the deleted post.
