A MONEY saving expert has revealed one of the cheapest ways to dry your clothes and save you hundreds of pounds on bills.

Social media user Kat Saves has encouraged homeowners to use dehumidifiers to avoid using tumble dryers.

The eyebrow raising hack is said to cost just 1p to run and has much better effects on laundry than a tumble dryer would.

Uploading to her TikTok account (@KatSaves), Kat believes this is one of the best money saving tips during the cost of living crisis.

She attached the following caption to the 11 second clip.

It read: “Dehumidifiers suck the moisture out of the air, leaving more room for the damp from the clothes, but eliminate any condensation, dampness and mould which can come from drying laundry.

“They’re much cheaper to run than tumble dryers, which cost around £1.30 per hour to run, while a decent dehumidifier will cost 1.2p.”

Dehumidifiers are also environmentally friendly and will certainly reduce costs over time.

But they aren’t the only cheap hack that can be used for helping to lower your energy bills.
