WHATSAPP users worldwide claimed to be having issues with the popular app as a mystery outage wreaks havoc.

The messaging service appears to have crashed as thousands struggle to send and receive messages on July 19, 2023.

Many have said the issue is affecting WhatsApp on both their desktop and phone.

Over 22,000 reports are circulating Downdetector in the US, and over 137,000 users have reported issues in the UK.

Many reported the service not loading at all, while others said their app was freezing.

The most common issue has been the inability to send messages. About 60 percent of reported issues were with sending messages.

When will the issues be resolved?

In a statement, WhatsApp said: “We’re working quickly to resolve connectivity issues with WhatsApp and we’ll update you here as soon as possible.”

WhatsApp users demanded the issues be resolved in the company’s post.

One user simply wrote: “Work harder.”

It’s unclear at this time when the issues will be resolved.
