SOARING house prices have left many Brits despairing at their chances of ever getting on the property ladder.
But some homes have had the asking price cut in HALF – proving there are bargains to be had if you look hard enough.

Across the UK, the average house price has rocketed 10.9 per cent in the past year to £277,000, according to the Office for National Statistics.
Bidding wars were fuelled a stamp duty holiday during Covid along with very limited supply of homes on the market, experts say.
Rural areas saw prices rise up to 24 per cent in a year as more people sought to escape city life.
But with interest rates set to rise to tackle inflation, some pundits predict a housing crash could be on the horizon.
You don’t have to wait for that, as there are some sellers that have already dropped asking prices by up to 50 per cent.

Bargain hunters might also want to look at this three-bed semi in a quiet residential street in Stafford.
It boasts two reception rooms, front and rear gardens, a detached garage and a spacious paved driveway.
There is also potential for a two-storey extension to the side and rear, agents say.
It was first listed for sale in January and is now going under the hammer at online auction with a guide price of £15,000.
