Another excited chocolate lover, said: “This is an absolute must for Christmas Eve”.

The Galaxy Yule log is priced at £10 on the Iceland website and is exclusive to the frozen food specialist.

We also spotted a Galaxy caramel wreath which is also exclusive to Iceland and retails for the same price.

The caramel wreath is also getting rave reviews, with a four out of five-star customer rating on its website.

One person said: “Love the thick galaxy chocolate and inside filling. Will be buying for Christmas day!”

And another added: “Amazing sharing dessert, will be great for my Christmas dinner platter”.

As always it is good to shop around, especially at this time of year as there are lots of new products landing on the shelves of supermarkets.

Although the Galaxy Yule log is exclusive to Iceland we had a look online to see what other similar desserts were on offer.

Sainsbury has a Cadbury triple chocolate yule log for £3 and packs of five mini yule logs for £2.

Supermarket giant Morrisons has a hand-rolled fudge yule log as part of their “The Best” range priced at £6.

We also spotted a Bailey’s yule log on the Morrisons website for £7, however, it was showing out of stock online at the time we checked.

M&S also has its own hand-decorated offering priced at £7.

There is something to suit most tastes and budgets out there, it just depends on what you are looking for.

We used price comparison site Trolley.co.uk to check what supermarkets are offering, it is also an easy way to price-check your items.

Meanwhile, if you have started to stock up your Christmas cupboard we found a little-known retailer where chocs are up to 50% off.

We also reveal the cheapest places to buy all of your favourite tubs of chocolates.

Also, if you are shopping around for a Cadbury advent calendar we have found the cheapest ones around this week and they cost just £1.35 each.
