Sharing his exploits with his 2.8million followers on TikTok, Kalani’s latest review took him to Wetherspoons.

The TikTokker, who posts under the username ‘kalanighosthunter‘, headed to The Market Cross in Holywell and opted to try the pub chain’s iconic English breakfast.

But one culinary choice he made has left Spoons fans disgusted.

The video was met with over 50,000 likes and 3,000 comments.

Kalani’s first thoughts when browsing the pub menu were of the bargain booze prices, he said: “The drink prices are so cheap, you could get hammered here in 10 minutes.”

He also seemed pretty impressed with the price of the brekkie, which was just £3.14 at this particular branch.

Included in the dish was an array of iconic breakfast staples including toast, sausage, bacon, eggs, hash browns and beans.

Before giving the grub a go though, Kalani pauses to give his verdict on a pancake that his wife had ordered and declared it “tastes like ass”.

As he dove into the full English the American said: “This looks really good, especially for the price.”

He then began piling the beans onto toast and took a bite.

What happened next seems to have struck a nerve with English breakfast connoisseurs.

Kalani squeezed a helping of HP sauce all over his plate before then squirting tomato ketchup over the food as well and “mashing” it all together with his knife and fork.

His TikTok followers flocked to the comments to voice their outrage at the combination of sauces.

One wrote: “Mixing hp sauce and ketchup???? Straight to jail.”

Another exclaimed: “BRUDDER, mixing the sauces!”

A third commented: “Seem like a nice guy though I have never mixed tomato and brown sauce..”

A fourth said: “Nooo ketchup and HP should never be friends.”

While a fifth posted: “Ketchup AND HP is a violation but love your content.”

And another wrote: “No one is talking about the fact he mixed sauces no?”

“Brown and red sauce on the same plate I wouldn’t have either,” one foodie stated.

While another was more shocked by the sauces all over the plate, they said: “Aw man, sauce on the side for this!”

Kalani seemed to enjoy it though and after a couple of mouthfuls described it as a “hearty meal”.

He went on to say he wished he’d asked for the bacon crispy, although fans did point out that Wetherspoons doesn’t tend to cater to cooking requirements for its grub.

In his final conclusions, the visiting foodie said: “Okay so this is better than the one I had the other day, so now I’m on a quest to find the best full English.

“If you’ve got a recommendation please let me know.

“But this one is better than the first one I had, and it’s cheaper, and this one is meant to be one of your guys’ worst ones.”

Kalani added that the dish would taste “even better” if he had been drinking before testing it out.

In the video comments, it wasn’t just the combination of HP and Ketchup that viewers took issue with.

Several were quick to point out that the American hadn’t buttered his toast before tucking in, an integral part for many diners.

Others shared their own recommendations of where the TikTokker should visit next.

A number urged him to check out Toby Carvery‘s offering, while others said Wagamama would be a good shout.

Some also listed foods for Kalani to give a go, such as a fish finger butty or a jacket potato with cheese and beans.

Earlier this week the social media star tried a steak bake, a sausage roll, and a pink jammy doughnut from Greggs.

He declared: “I already took a bite of the steak bake but that is rather tasty and if you look at the pastry, it’s like perfectly cooked.

“Probably one of the best pastries I have ever had.

“Really flaky, I would give it eight out of 10 honestly.”

He also said the sausage roll was “really damn good”, although he shocked some viewers by dipping it in a pot of curry sauce.

Earlier this week he also gave butterfly chicken with garlic bread, chips and halloumi a go from Nando’s too.

He placed the items inside the two slices of bread after recommendations from fans.

Kalani can be seen nodding in satisfaction before revealing that he thinks it “buries KFC” and that it’s “not even in the same ballpark”.

He isn’t the first TikTok star to rack up thousands of views by testing our iconic British foods.

Last year, one fell in love with most of our famous grub, including crumpets, bacon butties and especially fish and chips — although Marmite was a no-no.

He was also pleasantly surprised when he tried his first roast dinner, at a Toby Carvery, despite thinking it was just food drenched in gravy which did not sound that tempting.

Elsewhere, Scots were left in stitches after an American tourist was told to try Greggs during her first-ever trip to Glasgow.

She then recommended the popular bakery chain to her followers in the TikTok video, which she captioned: “Listen Gregg knows what he’s doing. HI SCOTLAND!!!”
