Is Iceland open over the Platinum Jubilee bank holiday?

Supermarket Iceland has not said anything about changed opening hours over the Platinum Jubilee weekend.

This means your local store is likely to be following its usual opening times.

You might find that some stores are running shorter hours to give their employees some time off.

Retail spaces only have to shut on Christmas Day and Easter Sunday so Iceland will be open over the Jubilee weekend.

How can I find the opening hours for my local Iceland store?

Opening hours should be posted in the store’s window so if you’re out and about over the bank holiday you can just check there.

You can also use the supermarket’s store finder to find the opening times of any Iceland store.

Opening hours are likely to be reduced in some stores so double check before heading out to do your street party shopping.

Is Iceland delivering over the Platinum Jubilee bank holiday and weekend?

Iceland offers same day delivery for £6 and this will be functioning over the weekend.

There is nothing on the site to want customers about possible delivery delays so it looks like Iceland is delivering over the Jubilee as normal.

Be warned though that road closures for street parties and high demand might cause delays in your delivery.

Is Iceland running any promotional offers over the bank holiday?

Iceland has two major promotions over the weekend, both are online exclusive offers.

The first is halving the cost of same day delivery to just £3 for a limited time – they do not say when this offer ends so it is probably only on for the Jubilee.

A more impressive offer is Iceland’s Jubilee Giveaway promotion – free prizes when you shop online.

There are discounts on items too but the showstopper is the chance to win holiday vouchers or £2,500 worth of store credit.

This is an online exclusive so only available to those who order their shopping for delivery but with 300,000 prizes up for grabs, it’s definitely worth a try.
