The lucky man was playing on the National Bingo Game when he won the life-changing sum of £50,000 at Mecca Bingo in Wakefield last weekend.

He was using a traditional paper ticket and dabber pen when he realised he had a full ‘house’ within 16 numbers being called, triggering the mega win.

Now, Ryan and his partner are planning to spend the cash on the wedding of their dreams next year.

A regular customer at the club on Westgate Leisure Park, Ryan attended weekly games with his mum, Theresa, so they could spend quality time together.

The Wakefield winner said: “I couldn’t believe it when my numbers came up, I looked at my mum and she told me to put my hand up, I was basically paralysed!

“The whole thing is a bit of a blur, I felt like I couldn’t even really see after I won, it was so surreal!

“All I can say is that you never truly know when your luck is in. This night has changed my life in so many ways!

“I’ll be able to put the winnings towards my wedding next year which really is a dream come true.”

Mel Kassim, general manager at Mecca Bingo Wakefield responded to the win, saying: “We’re always thrilled for our winners but the £50k National Bingo Game jackpot really is a life-changing moment.

“The atmosphere was absolutely electric and it’s all everyone has been talking about since.

“Ryan’s shown that he’s not only lucky in love, but also lucky at bingo, and we’re delighted that he and his fiancé will be able to have the dream wedding that they’ve been planning.”

It comes as a mystery bingo player also scooped the mega jackpot in Stoke-on-Trent and now the retiree has some very unique plans for how to spend his windfall.

A long-time fan of Elvis Presley, the lotto winner will be splashing his cash on the trip to the king of rock and roll’s glamorous estate of Graceland.

Meanwhile, a lottery winner who cashed in £300k has revealed that he wishes he had torn up his ticket.

Instead of getting good luck and fortune, Andrew ‘Jack’ Whittaker’s life was cursed with family deaths, divorce, and gambling addiction.

In happier news, another lottery winner’s life was turned around thanks to a whopping £1.5million jackpot.
