POUNDLAND shoppers will be blown away by its biggest UK store, which has everything you need for a weekly shop.
I had a sneak peek before the value chain opened the supermarket-style store in Nottingham on Saturday.

The discount store has always been a great place to bag a bargain, but might not be the first place you think of to buy your groceries.
But the new store has loads of new product ranges from homeware to clothes, tech and food, and even a coveted garden egg chair.
As discounter retailers like Aldi and Lidl have quickly snatched market share from supermarket giants, Poundland has clearly spotted an opportunity.
Whereas previously, you might have thought of the chain as a place to pick up discount cleaning products and make-up, the high street stalwart clearly has other ideas.
This huge branch is packed with all the essentials – as well as those bits and pieces fans love so much.
The first thing I noticed was the size of the store – there’s much more space between the aisles, which makes it a more enjoyable shopping experience.

It makes it easier to do a full shop too – as you can comfortably wheel a trolley around the store.
The branch in Riverside Retail Park is in a building formerly occupied by Outfit, which should give you some indication of how big it is.
There’s a huge Pep&Co clothing section, with womens clothes, menswear and a kids’ range.
Poundland has even signed a deal with popular children’s brands including Peppa Pig and Disney to sell branded clothes.
And it’s the only Poundland store with a changing room, so you can try on the range before buying.
This is a feature you can’t find in any other Poundland – yet.
House-proud shoppers will be pleased to know there’s a vast homewares section, as well as a brand new range of kitchen utensils and branded appliances.
There’s also a big fridge and frozen aisle and is the first Poundland shop to sell fresh fruit and veg.
You can also get great deals on alcoholic drinks, as it’s one of just a handful of the chain’s stores to stock booze.
The discounter has also installed proper, supermarket style checkouts, which makes for a much slicker exit.
But don’t be fooled by the name of the shop – you shouldn’t expect to get everything for £1 here.
I spotted Yankee candles for £10 and a hanging egg chair was a hefty £150.
Still, around 60% of the products are still just a quid, so you should still be able to bag a bargain.
If you can’t get to Nottingham though, you might have to wait until Poundland opens one of its big format stores near to you.
The retailer is staying tight-lipped as to how many of these new format stores are on the way.
But we do know another is set to open in Teeside Retail Park this month, with more launches planned for 2022.
