THIS tiny flat is up for rent at a staggering £1,150 a month and potential tenants are in for a surprise or two.

The property, located in Streatham, South London, is described as a ‘studio flat’ and is offered furnished – however, according to the landlord’s post on the OpenRent website, viewing the property is “highly recommended”.

Despite the eye-watering price of £1,146.86 a month, the living space is so small that the fridge and cooker are located just a step or two away from the bed.

The rental price is £330 more than the average rent for the area, according to rental website SpareRoom.

As well, despite the price bills aren’t even included.

On the other side of the flat is a tiny bathroom area that crams in the essential toilet, sink, and shower.

There is also a miniscule mirror above the sink.

Although the property promises furniture, the advert only shows a double bed, mattress and a wardrobe strangely located directly by the front door.

At £1,146.86 a month, you might be worried about being able to afford your keep, however the landlord’s advert suggests that two tenants can squash in.

There’s no garden or parking available, however you are welcome to move in with your furry friends as pets are allowed.

On top of the monthly rent, anyone wanting to live there will also have to pay a deposit of £1,146.86.

If you’re happy to feel packed in like a sardine every day, remember to keep in mind that you’re committed to a year – the minimum tenancy length at this property.

The studio is available to rent now with OpenRent.

Last month, a tiny studio flat in Primrose Hill was listed for £1,250 a month which was so small the tenant would have to climb a ladder to get to what the listing described as a “sleeping gallery” where the bed was located.

The bedroom is seating-room only as standing is not an option without stooping significantly.

Photos of the flat also show a small living/dining area, a cramped kitchen and a bathroom next to the narrow hallway.

In June another tiny studio flat, close to Finsbury Park in North London, went on the market for £1,050 a month.

In photos, the room appears to be just over 2.5m wide, with a double bed pushed against the wall to allow just enough space for the front door to open.

At the foot of the bed – so close that the bed is almost a part of it – is the kitchen, with cupboards, a sink, fridge, oven and electric hob.

Obstructing the oven door is the door to the bathroom, which contains a small shower, toilet and sink.
