A MAN has claimed he took a huge gamble when he bought a house for £311,000 without even viewing it.
The TikTok user known online as “fourfiftyk” took to the social media site to reveal what it was like when he first went inside in the Croydon, South London. home.
In the short video he is seen getting out of his car and at first glance the property appears to be in a pretty decent, if unremarkable, state.
As he unlocks the front door, a caption comes up saying: “I have no clue what it looks like inside.”
The door opens up to reveal a hallway with a flight of stairs going up on the right-hand side.
It all looks to be in a neat and tidy state with nothing obviously wrong with it with a caption now saying: “Not bad” along with “Boom!!!”
A quick tour around the other empty rooms on the ground floor and it all looks fine and perfectly habitable.
Similarly, a peek at the back garden shows that while it is sparse and featureless it is not overgrown and full of weeds.
The TikToker then asks his followers “What shall I do next?
“1 Sell it as is for profit. 2 Rent it out. 3 Refurbish it and sell for £425,000?”

The upstairs is in a similar condition, perfectly fine if rather bland and rather nondescript.
Many commentators went online to offer up their advice on what they would do.
One person wrote: “All cosmetic stuff. Do it up cheap as chips, sell on for a profit.”
Another said: “Needs a bit of work, I guess.”
While a third added: “Renovate and sell. Think of the profit.”
