However, although shoppers were pleased to see the fan-favourite chocolate was on shop shelves they were not impressed with the price.

One shopper said: “You’re paying for the tin.”

“I always wait til these are half price,” claimed another.

But shoppers quickly realised there’s is a trick you can use to get the tin for just £1 making it one of the cheapest chocolate tins out there.

Asda rewards shoppers can nab the tin £5 cheaper than the original price as it is currently listed as a “star” product.

For the next 19 days only, Asda rewards customers can buy the Cadbury Freddo tin for £1

The Asda Rewards app can be downloaded onto any iPhone or Android via the Apple App Store or Google Play.

To activate the loyalty scheme you just have to scan your app at the till. The pounds are then added to your account.

Remember “star” products are updated on the app regularly.

You won’t be able to find this tin in any other supermarket, but Sainsbury’s does have a Freddo treat-size chocolate bar for £2.

Morrisons has the same bag for £2.50. You can also pick up a mini Freddo bar for 25p in Tesco

In other news, Asda fans go wild about new “delicious” dupe that “tastes like” Caramac.

Cadbury fans are going wild for giant 1kg bags of fan favourite chocs but some say it’s “too early.”

Aldi shoppers are rushing to buy Christmas “delicious” essential that costs just 9p and fans say they are “hooked”.
