HOME Bargains is selling a £13 energy-saving gadget that avoids putting the heating on – and it’s the cheapest we’ve found on the market.

And one gadget from Home Bargains could help you do just that.
The discounter is selling a single-size Pifco electric blanket for just £13 while its king size option is a cheap as chips £20.
The gadget comes with three heat settings, overheat protection and the retailer says it costs just 2p an hour to run.

The blanket is also machine washable and comes with a 1.5metre cable.
If you’re thinking about buying one of the blankets, make sure you factor in delivery costs, which will set you back around £3.50.
We had a dig around to see if any other retailers are selling a single-size electric blanket for less than £13 and couldn’t find any.
The next cheapest option is B&Q, which is selling one for £18 while George at Asda has one in stock for £20.

B&Q is offering free delivery, but that still works out £1.50 more expensive than buying from Home Bargains.
Asda meanwhile is charging a £3.50 delivery fee meaning the total cost to buy its blanket is £23.50, unless you click and collect, which is free.
Of course, you should always shop around when buying something like this as we might have missed a cheaper option.
