It will be back from February 15 in stores for £4.79 and £6.29 as an extra-value meal.

The burger features a spicy chicken breast fillet topped with crunchy cool lettuce and mayo between toasted sesame seed buns.

It comes as fans nationwide have flooded McDonald’s social channels demanding the return of this much-loved menu item.

One said: “Favourite burger ever it should be out all year!”

While another said: “Bring it back!!! It should be on permanent it’s the nicest thing on the menu!”

Gráinne Allen, director of food and innovation, said: “We’re so pleased to be welcoming the McSpicy to our permanent menu across the UK and Ireland.

“The McSpicy brings the heat to our menu, and we hope chicken lovers across the nation are as excited about its permanence as we are.”

We have asked McDonald’s how many calories are in both the burger and the meal and will update this story when we hear back.

The burger last returned in April 2022 at £4.29 for the McSpicy on its own, or £5.79 for a medium extra value meal.

So both the burger and the meal have both increased in price by 50p.

We have also asked if anything else is coming to the menu or being axed on February 15.

It comes as the chain added the Double McPlant burger to its menu in January following the axing of eight menu items.

Meanwhile, Maccies fans can get their hands on a big mac for £1.99 with a simple code.
