Running from April 28, the Square Enix Golden Week sale includes dozens of 9/10 games from the publisher’s extensive library.

We’ve scoured the sale on Steam to handpick the best deals, and most of them are also available via the Nintendo Switch eShop, PlayStation Store and Xbox consoles.

Crisis Core -Final Fantasy 7- Reunion is an excellent remaster of 2007’s PSP game that presents the events that happened in the lead-up to Final Fantasy 7.

Now that two games of the FF7 remake trilogy are out, any fan or newcomer to the games should experience Crisis Core’s story.

You can grab the Crisis Core remaster for £19.99 / $24.99, saving 50% off its regular price via Steam and all console storefronts.

Rated 83 on review aggregator Metacritic, Triangle Strategy is a great tactical JRPG praised for its combat, story, and music.

Even though the game looks a lot like Octopath Traveler, it plays similarly to a Fire Emblem or X-COM title, with a grid-based combat field and focus on tactical movement.

Triangle Strategy has versions for PC and Nintendo Switch, but only PC gamers on Steam are getting a 50% discount and can grab the game for £24.99 / $29.99.

NieR: Automata is on sale across all platforms, with its Game of the YoRHa Edition at 60% off on Steam and the PlayStation Store, and the Nintendo Switch port at 40% on the eShop.

Telling the story of androids 2B, 9S and A2 as they battle alien machines in a dystopian world, it features stylish hack-and-slash combat with lots of combo attacks.

With an 89 rating on Metacritic for its Nintendo Switch version, it’s been praised for its story and gameplay as one of the best games ever made.

On Steam and PlayStation Store, it’s £11.99 / $15.99, while Switch owners can grab it for $23.99 / £20.99.

Both Octopath Traveler and Octopath Traveler 2 are on sale, at 50% and 40% off respectively, on all platforms where each game is available.

The two titles offer a modern take on classic turn-based JRPGs like the old Final Fantasy games, Chrono Trigger and especially Live A Live.

Each game follows eight heroes with different abilities and their seemingly separate stories that eventually become intermingled.

Octopath Traveler is £24.99 / $29.99 on Steam, Xbox and the Nintendo eShop.

Unfortunately, the first Octopath Traveler game is not available on PlayStation consoles, so PS4 and PS5 will be missing out on half of this deal.

Right now, Octopath Traveler 2 costs £29.99 / $35.99 across all platforms.
