SKY is transforming the way people watch TV by launching its very own interactive camera.
Sky Live acts like a clever webcam that plugs directly into Sky Glass, allowing you to chat, game and keep fit like never before.

“We surprised everyone when we launched our streaming TV, Sky Glass, in 2021,” said Fraser Stirling, Global Chief Product Officer at Sky.
“Now we’re doing it again. Sky Live makes your TV much more than just a TV, by introducing new entertainment experiences for the heart of your home.”
The chat feature can be used to make video calls from your sofa to anyone with a Zoom account.
But you can go a step further and also watch your favourite TV shows with friends and family – provided they have Sky Live too.
Video windows appear next to the channel or on demand content you’re playing – and anyone in the call can pause, play or change the programme.
Sky’s also got a load of motion-based games, which it intends to grow with the help of partners.
The titles at the moment include a dance-based game using your arms, slicing through classics like Fruit Ninja, as well as famous names like Monopoly.
You can record Snapchat-like filter videos to send to mates as well.

And finally there’s a training app called Mvmnt fitness with over 130 workouts.
The camera tracks your form in real-time to ensure your technique is correct.
Sky Live only works with Sky Glass and costs £290 to buy upfront.
Sky is offering a 48-month contract option as well for £6 per month, or £12 per month for 24-months.
It’s available to buy from Sky’s website today.
A physical button has been put on the top so you can switch it off – a white light will only appear on the front when it’s on.
The broadcaster intends to keep building on the tech with new features and games in future, such as Peppa Pig episodes kids can interact with.
Experts at the firm also showed press including The Sun how it’s developing the camera to detect tiny finger movements which could one day be used to do things like change the volume with a pinch gesture.
