THE start of the year is usually quiet when it comes to gaming releases but 2024 feels a little different.

With so many incredible games releasing before the holidays, we didn’t expect the first few months of the year to be so stacked.

But whether you’re into superhuman crime fighters or toy-based puzzles, there’s something for you this month.

Here’s all the biggest releases coming in February 2024.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League

The villains turn into the heroes of the story, as the Suicide Squad has to take down the Justice League.

Controlled by long-time villain Brainiac, the squad have to kill the Justice League before they destroy the world with their superhuman powers.

Aside from the story, Suicide Squad has four playable characters so that you can try out different styles or play with friends.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will be released on February 2 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Persona 3 Reload

Persona 3 Reload takes the PS2 classic game and gives it a new coat of paint similar to the very popular Persona 5.

As the Dark Hour emerges around midnight, you must take on the tower of Tartarus while the world sleeps.

At other times of the day, you can hang out with those around you to strengthen your bonds and awaken the power inside you.

Persona 3 Reload will launch on February 2 for PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Foamstars

Square Enix has developed its own version of the popular third-person splatter Splatoon, except you spread foam.

There are both single-player and multiplayer matches where you can team up in teams of four to mark your territory.

Players will fight to cover the arena in mountains of foam while stopping others from taking it back.

Foamstars will be released exclusively on PS4 and PS5 on February 6.

Helldivers 2

While Helldivers was a top-down shooter, Helldivers 2 is switching up the formula but turning it into a third-person shooter.

Featuring up to four-person multiplayer, team up with friends to strategise your way to your goal, while watching out for friendly fire.

Helldivers 2 will be released on February 8 for PS5, and PC.

Skull and Bones

Skull and Bones has been delayed so many times that people believed it would never be released.

However, it has a solid release date, and soon everyone will be able to explore the high seas, play pirates and engage in naval warfare.

Based on the popularity of Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag, people have been excited to see the idea expanded into a full game.

Skull and Bones will launch on February 16 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Mario vs. Donkey Kong

A remake of the 2024 Game Boy Advance crossover Mario vs. Donkey Kong is soon set to launch on Nintendo Switch.

Mario will chase down Donkey Kong to retrieve his stolen toys in tight platforming levels.

Mario vs. Donkey Kong will launch exclusively for Nintendo Switch on February 16.

Nightingale

As you enter portals to other worlds, you need to gather resources to build your home base.

The world is crumbling around you, but by finding rare materials from other planets, you can rebuild your community.

Yes, it’s another survival crafting game, but one that tries to offer you more freedom and with a focus on creation.

Nightingale will be released on PC on February 22.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

The second part of Cloud’s journey is almost here, and the gang will leave Midgar for the first time and enter into the open world.

With new playable characters, players will finally be able to explore the world which includes improved systems over the original.

It was voted the most anticipated game of 2024, as people can’t wait to see the follow-up to Final Fantasy 7 Remake.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth will launch on February 29 exclusively for PS5.
