Over £28 MILLION has been handed out in jackpot lottery wins this month

Camelot UK Lotteries Limited, operator of The National Lottery, confirmed that it has received a claim for the multi-million jackpot prize won by a single ticket-holder in Saturday’s Lotto draw.

It follows other big-money wins this month of £12.8M, £3.8M and £4M.

Camelot’s Andy Carter, Senior Winners’ Advisor at The National Lottery, said: “We’re delighted that this fantastic Lotto jackpot has been claimed.

“It’s been a fantastic month of winning for Lotto players, with a total of over £28M in jackpot prize money having been won by lucky Lotto players in November.

“Our focus is now on supporting this jackpot ticket-holder through the process and helping them start to enjoy their truly life-changing win.”

The jackpot joy comes after a lucky mum won £1 million in the EuroMillions jackpot after her fiancé Ben said he “wasn’t gullible” enough to play.

Holly Saul bought the life-changing ticket after thinking “why not”.

Since discovering their new fortune in October 2021, the couple, from Cambridge, have bought a new house, enjoyed a lavish holiday and Holly was able to take time off work to spend with their children.

The mum-of-two said: “Ben had quipped he wasn’t gullible enough to play, but I thought ‘why not’ and had bought a couple of tickets online on the National Lottery website.

“I can’t tell you how pleased I am that I did!”

The first National Lottery draw was held on November 19 1994 when seven winners shared a jackpot of £5,874,778.

The largest amount ever to be won by a single ticket holder was £42million, won in 1996.

Gareth Bull, a 49-year-old builder, won £41million in November, 2020 and ended up knocking down his bungalow to make way for a luxury manor house with a pool.
