AMAZON has slashed the price of giant Dairy Milk chocolate bars to £5.90, when they were originally as much as a tenner to buy from the online giant.

Shoppers can purchase the whopping 850g Cadbury treat at almost half the price right now.

The giant chocolate bar has been reduced by nearly 50%

A regular sharing Dairy Milk bar weighs approximately 110g and costs roughly £1 from most supermarkets, so the chocolate treat is a mega eight times the size, but eats only five times as much into your wallet.

Originally the colossal bar was £9.99 to buy from Amazon, but shoppers can save £4.09 now that it has been reduced.

Amazon is teeming with discounts currently as it kicked off Black Friday sales 20 days early this year.

The upcoming day of discounts has quickly become one of the biggest shopping occasions of the year and it falls on Friday 26 November this year.

But Amazon has jumped the gun with a host of early bargains, including the giant chocolate bar.

With its mega size of course comes a sizable calorie count though, adding up to a total of 4,539 calories in the whole bar.

The recommended intake is 2,000 calories a day for women and 2,500 for men.

But, you don’t have to take on the mission of finishing the giant bar all by yourself, as it would make just as good a Christmas present, esepesially at the reduced price.

It’s not the only way you can get stocked up on chocs ahead of the festive season either.

A number of supermarkets have deals you’ll want to cash-in on now before prices are hiked again just before the big day.

Tesco and Aldi are amongst those who have slashed the price of Quality Street and Celebrations chocolate tubs that usually make firm family favourites around Christmas time.

But NOW is the time to stock up ahead of the festive season, as the promotions, like Tesco’s two for £7 deal, won’t hang around forever.

All the money savvy experts recommend shopping around first, whether it be for your chocolate fix in the grocery shop, or you are looking for the perfect sweet tooth gift.

You can use sites like Google Shopping and PriceSpy to compare prices for the best deal.

You won’t find the Cadbury bar cheaper though, at Sainsbury’s the same size bar is £10, though at B&M it’s a slightly cheaper £7.

Keep in mind though you may need a Prime membership which can cost up to £79 a year to join, to enjoy the discounted prices at Amazon, but the good news is you don’t need it to cash in on free delivery in your basket.

You’ve been melting chocolate all wrong… this genius way takes minutes & it won’t burn
