Winners will have four weeks to claim the hot or cold cup of Costa goodness, which can be customised by size, number of shots and syrups.

The offer includes all of Costa’s “handcrafted” coffees, teas, fruit coolers, hot chocolates and Frostino frappes.

The priciest items club members can claim are the festive Toffee Penny and After Eight lattes, both going for £3.95.

A medium Americano costs £2.20, while fruit coolers go for £3.45 in most locations.

But the deal does not apply to soft drinks from the fridge, we’re told.

You’ll have to sign up for Costa Club before December 1 to be part of the festivities.

Lucky Club members’ drink vouchers will automatically pop up in the app’s Rewards section.

It can then be which redeemed in person at a participating Costa Coffee store.

A Costa spokesperson said: “As the season for giving approaches, we’re excited to announce our one million free drinks giveaway via our Costa Club app.

“We hope that we can encourage our members to make someone’s day with a simple, but kind gesture of a cup of their favourite coffee.”

Currently Costa Club members earn one bean token for every drink bought.

After purchasing eight, they can claim a barista-made drink for free.
