Let’s know ‘Chucky Season 2 Glen And Glenda’ In Season 2 of the horror series Chucky, the notorious killer doll made by Don Mancini is back. Because Tiffany Valentine returned in the previous season, Chucky (Brad Dourif) is not alone for the season (Jennifer Tilly).
But Chucky Season 2 also introduces Glen and Glenda, two of the most adored but nuanced characters from the film series. Fans will know the actor portraying the part due to his work on another well-liked series, as shown in the official trailers, which depict the red-headed figure coming to life.
Who Is Glen/Glenda In The Movie Franchise?
Horror movie aficionados are familiar with Chucky and Tiffany’s tale from the series. In the 1998 film Bride of Chucky, the two protagonists who transferred their souls into murderous dolls manage to have a kid. In the movie Seed of Chucky, the youngster, Glen, is discovered by a ventriloquist who keeps him confined and uses him as a puppet.
Glen discovers his parents are Chucky and Tiffany while watching television. Glen is far more compassionate and does not possess the same killing instincts as his parents. He ends up in Hollywood after fleeing arrest, where he runs across his parents. They are shocked to learn that the kid they had who was born to two serial killers was not a killer.
“I’m hoping that our LGBTQ and trans viewers would adore these characters and the portrayals that Lachlan offered of them. Since it was extremely essential to us that we honor the trans experience with these characters, the series creator expressed his hope that viewers will like it as much as he does.
However, when they carry out their strategy to conceive Tilly so that Glen may transfer his soul, they discover he has a second personality named Glenda. Glenda is largely inactive during the film. Tiffany successfully transfers her soul towards the conclusion of the story, and she now resides with her twin children, Glen and Glenda. Lachlan Watson’s Glen and Glenda, who first appeared in Chucky Season 2, are now adult teenagers.
Lachlan Watson Plays The Double Role Of Glen And Glenda In ‘Chucky’ Season 2
Fans get a peek of Watson in the season’s title role as Glen and Glenda in the Chucky Season 2 trailers. The two protagonists appear to have separate personalities, much like the original, although the trailer suggests they were unaware of their mother’s murderous impulses. But the show stays loyal to Glen and Genda’s gender-neutral sexual orientation.
Fans might be wondering, though, where they have previously seen Watson. After appearing in Netflix’s Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, the actor who plays Glen and Glenda in Chucky Season 2 became well-known. One of Sabrina’s (Kiernan Shipka) closest pals, Susie, played by Watson, appeared in the first episode of the show. Susie comes to terms with her sexual orientation and true identity as the show goes on.
She soon adopts Theodore “Theo” Putnam as her new name and is transsexual. Watson uses they/them pronouns and identifies as non-binary and pansexual in real life. Watson was the newest self-identified non-binary actor in Hollywood at the time the Netflix series debuted. With Glen and Glenda, the actor continues to portray LGBTQ people on television and in movies.

Don Mancini Hopes Fans Will Love Glen And Glenda In ‘Chucky’ Season 2
Gizmodo claims that Watson handled taking on two positions at once like a pro. To put Glen and Glenda in the same scene, the television show used the traditional “split screen” approach. It is quite difficult. In addition to being able to play these two distinct personalities, Lachlan thankfully simply took to it like a duck to water, despite the technological difficulties of having to play opposite oneself, according to Mancini.
Chucky Season 2 does, however, continue to examine topics of sexuality and the LGBTQ community, much like the first season of the show did. Fans have now learned about Glen and Glenda in addition to Jack’s (Zackary Arthur) romance with Devon (Björgvin Arnarson).
