ASDA shoppers can pig out on a giant sausage roll pig in blanket that serves TEN people this Christmas.
The ginormous porker features a seasoned sausage encased in streaky bacon, wrapped in golden puff pastry.
Asda is selling the giant sausage roll, which weighs 450g, for £5 – but for that price, it does feed a whole family.
As the supermarket says it feeds ten people, that means each person would get 45g each.
However, a large sausage roll from Walls or Ginster’s weighs 130g – and costs £1 and 75p each, respectively.
Tesco also do a larger 650g giant sausage roll for the same price, £5.
However, that hasn’t stopped Asda shoppers getting excited about the mega snack after the supermarket posted about the giant sausage roll on Instagram.
Asda said: “Oof, that’s a whopper! Our giant pig in blanket sausage roll was made for your Christmas table.”
Responding to the post, one shopper: “This is incredible.”
Another added: “Looks very tasty!”
A third said: “It’s on my Christmas list!”
Each of the giant sausage rolls is cooked fresh in stores, so you’ll find them at the food-to-go counters.
Shoppers can also order them online via the Asda website through its Food to Order service – although the supermarket says the majority of these slots are already gone.
But if you’re still planning on getting one, you’ll want to know that each porker packs 1,420 calories – although again, it is designed for ten people.
In the UK, the average man should consume no more than 2,500 calories, while it’s 2,000 for women.
Asda has around 630 supermarkets across the UK – use its online store finder tool to locate your nearest branch.
Asda’s Christmas advert for 2020 focuses on how Xmas will be different this year featuring a real-life family.
The supermarket has also released a Christmas dinner meal box for 8 people for £15.
