ARGOS has halved the cost of its four seater garden sofa set – and it’s now almost £100 cheaper than Aldi’s.

The Home Komoe Steel Sofa Set is just £200 after the price slash.

  • Argos’ Home Komoe Steel Sofa Set, £200 – buy now.

It includes two armchairs and a two-seater sofa consisting of a strong steel frame wrapped in textilene fabric.

The set even comes with a glass table and seven cushions.

Consumers appear to love the set, with a rating of 4.7/5 after 72 reviews.

The set only has three one star reviews, with customers complaining about the impact of wear and tear on the fabric.

The maximum weight per chair is 110kg, while the maximum weight on the sofa is 220kg.

Bear in mind that it will cost an extra £6.95 to have it delivered to your door.

There is no indication as to whether the half price discount is for a limited time only – or if the item is only available online.

For comparison, Aldi’s near identical Gardenline set was £299.99.

The stylish garden set consisted of a loveseat and two armchairs supported by a steel frame.

It also came with six cushions and a matching coffee table. It has now sold out twice.

The set has a four star rating from 168 reviews, with 37 of those reviews giving the set one star.

A common criticism from unhappy shoppers is that the legs on the set don’t line up properly.

The first time the exclusively online set sold out it was part of Aldi’s Specialbuy product line.

Aldi usually releases new Specialbuy products every Sunday and Thursday.

Both Aldi and Argos’ sets are suitable for outdoor use.

The key difference between the sets is that the Gardenline set has a rope style coffee effect to the upholstery, while the Homoe Komoe set has a grey fabric wrap effect.

The price difference will be welcome news for shoppers who missed out on the Gardenline sofa set – which is now sold out.

Using a tool such as Google shopping is a good way to check the price and to make sure you’re not getting ripped off.

Garden furniture has been a real hit this summer and shoppers have flocked to Aldi’s site when new Specialbuy items have dropped each Sunday.

But like many retailers, the store has also experienced shortages along with the high demand that’s wiped stock from shelves and online.

Before you commit to a purchase though, make sure you shop around first as you might find an even cheaper price elsewhere.

You can buy a rattan sofa set with similar features from Rattantree for £159.99.

If you’re looking for more garden furniture inspiration, Aldi’s hanging chair set is back on sale this Sunday.

Plus, Aldi’s sell-out inflatable £350 hot tub is back in shops in just a few days time too.

Finally, Argos is selling a £25 fire pit to cosy up near that’s cheaper than Aldi and Wilko.
