Keep an eye on their social media and website daily for hints on where to find each egg.

There will be daily activities including interactive shows, mindfulness sessions as well as storytelling fun.

The venue covers roughly 125 acres of land and there are around 400 species of animals to see.

There are also boat trips available at Chester Zoo, meaning visitors can watch the animals in their habitats from the water.

Whipsnade Zoo

Whipsnade Zoo is the biggest zoo in England and covers 600 acres of land in Bedfordshire.

It is the UK’s biggest zoo and safari park with 3,500 animals cared for by a dedicated team of keepers and staff.

Like London Zoo, it is hosting its own Zoonormous Egg Hunt.

Along with Easter crafts, you’ll be all set for a cracking day out.

The zoo is open from 10am every day of the year, except Christmas Day.

Longleat Safari Park

Longleat Safari and Adventure Park is one of the oldest safari parks in England.

Home to more than 120 species, Longleat was the first safari park to open outside of Africa in 1966.

You can view the animals by car, foot, train, bus or boat.

Easter weekend is peak time for the zoo, so it’s best you book ahead.

You can check the website’s calendar to find out if it’s open on any particular day.

Edinburgh Zoo

Edinburgh Zoo was the first zoo in the world to house and to breed penguins.

It is also only zoo in Britain to house Queensland koalas and giant pandas.

It is based on 82-acres of land and receives more than 600,000 visitors each year.

Edinburgh Zoo will be hosting its Spring Explorers taster sessions for primary school aged learners in the Easter holidays.

These three-hour sessions will focus on introducing young people to the amazing work of the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland through games, activities and visiting our amazing animal ambassadors.

The programme will take place from April 2 to April 4 for children aged six to twelve years old.

Colchester Zoo

Colchester Zoo, Essex, is on the smaller side for a zoo, being based on just 60 acres of land.

But it’s still home to many rare and endangered species including big cats, primates and birds as well as many invertebrates and fish.

Between March 29 and April 14, the zoo will be holding its St-EGG-osaurus Easter event, discovering species from the past.
