Well just in case you need any more supplies, here are the opening times for some gardening centres across the UK during the Platinum Jubilee bank holiday weekend.

Are gardening centres open on Platinum Jubilee Bank Holiday?

We contacted some gardening centres which have stores across the UK to see what time they’ll be open during the bank holiday weekend.

These include Dobbies, Hillier and Notcutts.

Dobbies

Opening hours for Dobbies will also be running as normal.

They said that their opening hours would remain the same and pointed to the more detailed opening times that can be found on their website, as there are variations based on location and for their little Dobbies stores.

Hillier

Hillier’s garden centres will be opening as usual over the Bank Holiday weekend.

They’re open 9am – 5.30pm Monday to Saturday, and 10.30am – 4.30pm on Sundays, with viewing from 10am.

Notcutts

Notcutts will be open all four days during the bank holiday long weekend.

On June 2 and June 3 they will be open from 9am till 5pm.

On Saturday June 4, they’ll open up for another hour till 6pm.

On Sunday June 5, their stores will be open from 10.30ma till 4.30pm.

Simply enter your location, and it’ll bring up the nearest garden centres.

We also asked the garden centres whether they will be having any delivery services.

This is what they had to say.

Dobbies

Dobbies deliveries will be operating over the Bank Holiday weekend, but the service will be affected by the extended break.

The company said that deliveries will continue, though there will be a reduced service.

If you’re in any doubt, use their store locator to find your nearest store and ask them directly.

Hillier

Those looking for home deliveries from Hillier’s garden centres are in luck.

As well as operating with their usual hours at their stores, Hilliers will also be running online deliveries as normal over this period.

Notcutts

For deliveries, Notcutts told us that customers should ask the store they plan to get delivery from whether they will be offering the service on the day they want.

You can get in contact with them by using the Garden Centre Locator Tool on their website.

Click ‘Details’ when you find the store you want delivery from and you’ll get all the information you need to contact up the store, including their telephone number.

What are the Bank Holiday dates for 2022?

Traditionally, Brits enjoy eight bank holidays in a year across England and Wales, but by the end of this year, they will have had NINE.

The first one was on January 3, 2022.

Then Brits enjoyed a long weekend as they celebrated Good Friday on April 15 and Easter Sunday on April 17, 2022.

Soon after, the Early May Bank Holiday came around on May 2, 2022.

Now Brits have the following dates left to maybe plan a holiday or two around:

• June 2 – Spring Bank Holiday
• June 3 – Platinum Jubilee Bank Holiday
• August 29 – Summer Bank Holiday
• December 26 – Boxing Day
• December 27 – Christmas Day (Substitute Day)
