WORKERS can get ELEVEN days off work in a row if they book just five days’ worth of holiday in a Queen’s Jubilee Bank Holiday loophole.

Brits are being treated to a four-day weekend from tomorrow to June 5 this year to mark the Queen’s 70th year on the throne.

From tomorrow to June 5 Brits will be entitled to a bank holiday, and could extend the run by just taking five extra days off.

It means workers will be out of the office from June 2 to June 10 – a total of 11 days.

Of course, it will only work if you’re not contracted to work on Bank Holidays – otherwise you’ll need to take all nine days as holiday.

That’s because employees don’t have statutory rights to take off Bank Holidays of work.

Full-time workers in the UK are entitled to 28 days paid leave a year, and some employers choose to include Bank Holidays.

You can figure out how many days holiday you are entitled to by taking the amount of days a week you work and multiplying that number by 5.6.

Whether or not you’re required to work them will be outlined in your contract of employment you will have signed when you started your job.

The May Bank Holiday Weekend – which usually falls at the end of the month – has been moved to Thursday June 2 for the celebrations.

The weekend will then be extended with an extra day off on Friday June 3.

Savvy employees will always be on the lookout for when upcoming Bank Holiday’s fall to unitise their time off work.

Before you do book a holiday though, make sure you ask your boss for permission for time off first, as they can actually reject your holiday request even if you’ve already paid for flights.
