WHATSAPP is making it much easier to block other users.

That means you’ll have a much simpler time of shutting out annoying or abusive chatters.

WhatsApp regularly tests new features in the beta app.

And WhatsApp blog WABetaInfo has examined the app to discover three shortcuts to quickly block contacts.

The first shortcut is in the menu under the chat preview.

The second is available inside the chat options.

Warning for millions of WhatsApp users – you could be banned forever

And the third appears as a red side button when you receive a message from an unknown contact that you haven’t spoken to before.

If you choose to block a contact, you’ll also be given the opportunity to forward the last 5 messages in the chat to the moderation team.

This means WhatsApp can find out if the person has broken any rules.

Sadly it’s impossible to say exactly when the new block shortcuts will be available more widely.
