ALDI shoppers have been going wild for dupes of an iconic chocolate bar which are back on shelves.
The discount chain is selling full-size Bounty dupes that “taste exactly the same” as the divisive brand.

One shopper shared the find on social media and was met with responses from hundreds of Bounty fans eager to give them a go.
Posting on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group the shopper said: “New in Aldi. 4x full size bars (Bounty dupe) £1.19 a pack.”
They also shared an image of the bars, which look pretty similar to the real thing.
The post quickly gained over 250 likes and more than 200 comments.

One tagged their pal and wrote: “They’re the ones I was telling you about, they’re lovely.”
Another commented: “We need to get these.”
A third said: “Well we are gonna have to try these.”
While another wrote: “I love bounty dupes! Taste exactly same as Bounty!!”

And a happy customer commented: “These are lush! If you like Bounty you will love these.”
Although not everyone was impressed though as Bounty is after all a divisive snack.
One commented sick faces, while another simply said “no thanks”.
Aldi has sold its own version of Bountys for a while now, named Romeo bars.
Some shoppers pointed out that they have sold the full-size chocs before but they seem to have returned.
The chain also sells mini variations of the bars.
Each bar has a creamy coconut filling and is encased in a milk chocolate coating.
A pack of four 50g twin-bars costs £1.19, or just 30p per 100g.
While a four-pack of 57g twin-Bounty bars in Tesco costs £1.65 – or 72p per 100g.
You can pick up Aldi’s dupe in store only as they’re not available to buy online.
Shoppers can find their nearest store using the handy shop-locator tool on the chain’s website.
Aldi is known for its bargain chocolate bar dupes, offering cheaper version of big name brands including Cadbury, Kinder and M&Ms.
Most recently The Sun crowned Aldi the winner of a taste test of Milkyway bar dupes.
Now shoppers are also calling for the chain to introduce a dark chocolate Bounty dupe.
One wrote: “They need to sell a dark chocolate version as Mars have ditched theirs.”
And a second said: “They should do a dark chocolate one to put the boot properly into Bounty for discontinuing theirs.”
To which another shopper replied: “I agree I’m still sad, soo much better than milk chocolate ones.”
It comes after Mars confirmed it had discontinued the beloved chocolate bar in September.
This sparked several angry comments on social media including from Piers Morgan.
Recently, Aldi has stoked a new choc controversy by launching a “practically identical” version of Cadbury’s Freddo bar.
And last Christmas shoppers went crazy trying to get their hands on the supermarket’s Chocolate Assorted Truffles, which were supposedly a knock-off of Lindt’s famous chocolate balls.
Meanwhile, Iceland shoppers have been going wild over new dessert treats based on iconic chocolate bars spotted on shelves.
