USE YOUR HEAD: The average shower head spouts out 12 litres of water per minute.
Use less by taking shorter showers.

Around 12 per cent of a home’s heating bill is from the water for showers, baths and the hot-water tap, so using less could cut your monthly outlay.

To check yours, wait 30 minutes after flushing then run a piece of tissue around the back of the bowl.
