KFC has been axed from a popular takeaway platform affecting 1,000 locations.

Fans of the chicken chain will no longer be able to have their dinner delivered via Deliveroo.

The two companies officially parted ways on October 26.

It means you’ll need to use another delivery app to get your fried chicken fix.

The decision to split is said to have been due to the fast food chain “refusing to agree” terms of a new deal.

Deliveroo said that its focus is to provide “great value” through its platform and wanted to partner with brands which “share the same outlook”.

It also said that the company has “thousands” of other fried chicken restaurants for customers to choose from.

A spokesperson for the platform said: “We will continue to invest in promotions for consumers and will work with our restaurant and grocery partners to ensure they’re offering consumers excellent value and great service.

“With thousands of incredible chicken restaurants on Deliveroo including many that are only available on Deliveroo there’s a huge selection for people to choose from.”

Meanwhile, KFC said it will focus on its relationship with delivery platforms Uber Eats and Just Eat.

In a statement the chain confirmed it had cut ties with the rival.

The spokesperson also said: “KFC will now be focusing its delivery offer on its own-delivery channel and with aggregator platforms Just Eat and Uber Eats – but wants to thank Deliveroo’s riders for their hard work in helping to deliver its finger lickin’ fried chicken to fans across the country.”

KFC fans can get their favourite bargain bucket via the rival food couriers or on the chain’s website.

It’s important to bear in mind though that each app will have differing prices for delivery and service.

These will also vary from location to location, so make sure you check before you checkout.

Each app can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play store.

Of course you could also head over to your nearest KFC, of which there are 1,000 in the UK.

You can find your nearest restaurant using the locator tool on the chain’s website.

Meanwhile, KFC has made a huge change to its fries after calls to bring back its old recipe.

We had to try them for ourselves and original recipe chicken lovers will be buzzing.

And fans of KFC tend to have their firm favourites – from bargain buckets to the iconic popcorn chicken.

But some items might be more finger lickin’ good than others.
