ZOOM is is now back online after an outage earlier today.
Work meetings and school lessons were thrown into chaos as the video chat platform stopped working for numerous users across the world.
According to Downdetector, problems started around 8am BST.
Most of the reported problems seemed to be with joining conferences and starting conferences.
Some users also reported issues with logging in.
Some students rejoiced online about not being able to attend lectures or classes.
Others were far more annoyed by the mysterious outage.
One frustrated worker tweeted: “Argh. #Zoom seems to be down at the moment – just when we were due to be joining artists in Wales and South Africa … hmmmm!”.
Another person tweeted Zoom directly and said: “Is the server down? We can’t get our Zoom to work at all!”.
Another said: “Zoom also has Monday blues.”
Zoom has since tweeted: “We have resolved the issue causing a subset of customers to experience errors while joining a live meeting.
“We will continue to monitor and provide updates as we have them.
“Thanks for your patience.”
