It’s free to download via Google Play or the App Store – but you’ll have to enter a few personal details, such as your email, to set an account up.

To qualify, you’ll need to be 18 or over and show your ID at the bar.

Once you’ve set one up, head to the “Your Treats” section of the app.

The deal should be there, and all you need to do is show the offer to a bar worker when ordering the booze.

Or, if you’re ordering through the On Tap app, add the pint to your basket and the price of it will automatically be taken off when you check out.

Thirsty customers can get a pint of Youngs Original, a glass of Diet Coke or a 175ml glass of selected wine.

The deal is available from now until Wednesday, September 28.

Youngs is offering the free treat to its punters as a way of celebrating its 191st birthday.

You can find your Youngs by using its pub locator tool, with more than 200 locations taking part in the deal.

The offer will be welcome news to beer lovers who have seen the price of a pint rocket recently.

Some pubs have been charging an eye-watering £8 for a beer for the first time.

There are also warnings that the price of a London pint could hit £14 within three years as pubs deal with higher energy bills, rising wages and increased beer prices from brewers.

In August, pub, restaurant and hotel chiefs wrote to the former Prime Minister Boris Johnson warning of another wave of closures without urgent support for energy bills.

Just as businesses are enjoying a return of customers after low trade during the pandemic, rising energy bills and worries about another recession are hitting them even harder.
