AMAZON has a little-known free streaming app that recently made its way to the U.K.
Freevee, previously known as IMDb TV, offers a collection of hundreds of TV shows and films available on-demand.

What is Freevee?
Freevee is a streaming platform that operates similarly to Netflix, Amazon Prime or Disney+.
The app is different to those behemoths, however, in that you don’t need to pay a subscription fee to use the service.
Instead, Freevee is supported by ads. Like YouTube, it costs nothing to use but you’ll have to watch an ad or two every so often.
As well as content on-demand, FreeVee boasts more than 60 “Fast Channels” that stream episodes of some shows live.
This part of the app works more like more traditional broadcast TV channels and is dedicated to popular series.
Ads pop up in a similar fashion to those on terrestrial broadcasts, playing at regular intervals throughout.
What’s on Amazon Freevee?
The platform has an okay selection of classic series featuring Babylon 5, The A-Team, Baywatch and Magnum P.I.
Amazon has also pumped money into original content, including Bosch spinoff, Bosch: Legacy and Plan B’s High School.

Also available is Judy Justice, a 120-episode series hosted by iconic Judge Judy Sheindlin.
Amazon says that it will increase its exclusive Originals lineup by 70 per cent this year.
How to watch Freevee
In the U.S., you can watch Freevee on a dedicated app available on mobiles, smart TVs and consoles.
It is also available in a section of the Prime Video app for smart TVs.
In the U.K., you can only watch Freevee through the Prime Video app on mobile, TVs and consoles.
If you have a FireTV device, however, you can watch the dedicated Freevee app.
On PC and Macs, the service is available on your browser through Amazon Prime Video.
Freevee is currently available in the US and UK only and will launch in Germany in the coming months.
